To save time during check-in, you are welcome to use our Pre Check-in service. Our Front Desk Team will provide you with the necessary information immediately after your booking.
DIRECTIONS
Public transport: Take the train to Aarau train station. From there, it's about a ten-minute walk through Aarau's old town (Address: Zollrain 16, Aarau).
Alternatively, take bus numbers 1, 2, 4, or 135 to the «Rathaus Aarau» (stop is right in front of the hotel/restaurant).
Car: Zollrain 16, 5000 Aarau. For quick loading and unloading of your luggage, you can drive your car to the main entrance of the hotel.
Note: Access to the hotel is only possible via the Kettenbrücke—access via the old town is NOT permitted and will be fined immediately.
EARLY CHECK IN
In general, your room is available from 3:00 PM. Subject to availability, you may be able to check in earlier — however, we cannot guarantee this.
INVOICE
You will automatically receive the invoice for your stay by email. During check-in, you have the option to provide your desired billing address. If you need assistance with this, please speak to our Front Desk Team or send us an email at home@hotelkettenbruecke.ch.
LATE CHECK IN
If your booked room is not yet ready upon your arrival, we will be happy to store your luggage for you. The same applies to your departure. Please contact our Front Desk Team for this service.

Would you like to stay in your room a little longer? We would be happy to check the current availability to accommodate your request if possible.
LUGGAGE
If your booked room is not yet ready upon your arrival, we will be happy to store your luggage for you. The same applies to your departure. Please contact our Front Desk Team for this service.

If you are arriving outside these opening hours, please inform us in advance so we can arrange for your room key to be deposited. Until 11:00 PM, a member of the service team at our in-house restaurant, Zollhuus, will also be happy to assist you (exception: closed on Sundays).

Hotel Kettenbrücke is a city hotel and does not have its own parking spaces. However, the «Flösserplatz» car park and the «Kettenbrücke» parking lot are in the immediate vicinity (approx. 50 - 80 meters).

Long-Term Parking
You can purchase exit tickets for the "Kettenbrücke" parking lot at the reception desk. A ticket costs CHF 29.00 and is valid exclusively for the Kettenbrücke parking lot.

RESTAURANT
In our in-house restaurant «Zollhuus», you can enjoy high-quality meat dishes, as well as vegetarian and vegan alternatives, all in a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Due to high demand, early reservations are recommended.

SUSTAINABILITY
Sustainability is very important to us at our establishment (Hotel Kettenbrücke with Restaurant Zollhuus). This means we place great value on working with our regional suppliers and partners. We also take new approaches to room cleaning by forgoing chemical cleaning agents and instead using a dry steam cleaning device to ensure lasting cleanliness and sanitation. Whenever possible, we avoid plastic bottles and offer our guests our tap water for consumption (Swiss water is among the highest quality in the world). Additionally, guests who forgo room cleaning for stays of two nights or more will receive a «Green Card», which is a voucher for an aperitif in our Restaurant Zollhuus.
